Journalism Diversity Fund Selection Criteria
Individuals who make an application to the Journalism Diversity Fund to receive a bursary MUST be able to meet all of the following criteria:
- to be able to provide proof that they have already submitted an application to an NCTJ accredited course, or have already secured a place, for the academic year September 2008 – September 2009. Those who have already started a course are not eligible to apply – bursaries must be awarded prior to the course commencing.
(Please note that a final offer of a bursary will be dependent on confirmation that a secure offer of a course place is received.)
- must not have the financial means to support themselves on an NCTJ accredited course;
- you are a British citizen residing in the UK;
- through application and interview be able to demonstrate genuine commitment and potential to be a successful journalist;
- must not be in receipt of any other bursary award.
NB: Applicants are responsible for ensuring all the above criteria are met and indeed checking with the NCTJ accredited centre that the course applied for/place secured on is an NCTJ accredited course.
